Active Photo Editor is a simple and handy utility that allows you to create graphics and edit existing photos or images. It offers a great variety of filters and effects to apply to your images and also enables you to draw lines and shapes as well as apply layers and capture screenshots of your screen, an active window or a region. The program features a very simple and intuitive user interface, very similar to those of well-known photo editors but less attractive.
The 1.4 version includes many improvements and new features including layer support, new selection tools, new tools like text and zoom, support for importing from cameras, ability to print images and many more. What is more, it includes all basic features like duplicate, resize, canvas size, rotate and round. A great thing is that the program provides a little window where you can preview the effects before applying them to your image and decide whether you like them or not.
Note that in the trial version of the program you won't be able to save the changes made to your images, but at least you can try it and see if it satisfies your needs. All in all, Active Photo Editor does a good job as a photo editor and includes a great variety of effects.
